National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Representatives from the Coastal Coalition for Children, Safe Harbor, Department of Family and Children’s Services and CASA look on as Brunswick Mayor Cornell Harvey reads a proclamation declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The area nonprofit agencies have joined together to share the critical message of Child Abuse Prevention Month and are encouraging people across the state to participate by sharing their talents and time to help create better, brighter futures for children and families. In conjunction with Child Abuse Prevention Month is Pinwheels for Prevention, a national public awareness campaign designed to be visual reminders that we all play a role in ensuring happy and healthy childhoods for all children everywhere.
