Ten golfers earned their way into Monday’s qualifier for the RSM Classic on Thursday at Brunswick Country Club.

The RSM pre-qualifier Thursday was the last of three for golfers to earn a chance to qualify Monday to get into the PGA Tour tournament set for next week at Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside and Plantation courses on St. Simons Island.

St. Simons Island’s Thomas Curtis and Forsyth’s Jay McLuen led Thursday’s pre-qualifier as both golfers finished at 5-under 65 for the tournament. A shot behind the leaders was Brian Fister of West Palm Beach, Fla., who finished in solo third with a 4-under 66.

Seven golfers tied for fourth at 3 under to advance to the qualifier. Among the group was former College of Coastal Georgia golfer Paxton Shuman. He was joined by Chris Wiatr of Jupiter, Fla., Akshay Bhatia of Wake Forest, N.C., Blake Morris of Hobe Sound, Fla., Devin Suri of St. Augustine, Fla., and Kevin Aylwin of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
