The Brunswick High and Glynn Academy soccer squads took to the road well Tuesday. The Glynn boys and girls swept at Ware County while the BHS boys and girls earned a sweep at Groves.

The Lady Terrors defeated the Lady Gators 9-1 behind four goals from Hailey Williams. Mady Carroll added three goals and two assist with Lilly Pruitt and Sally Brock each added a goal. Brock also had an assist in the rout and Courtland Rodini led the team with three assists.

The win moves the Lady Terrors to 3-0 on the season.

The GA boys also soundly defeated their counterparts from Ware 8-1.

Clay Watkins and Jack Podlezny each two goals with Ben Alexander, Max Hamman, Greg Sasser and Lucas Acevedo each contributing a goal.

Watkins also had two assists with Acevedo, Chase Gabriel and Joel Preston each collecting one assist.

The win moves Glynn to 2-0 ahead of a Friday game against Islands High at 6 p.m. at Glynn County Stadium.

The Brunswick girls routed Groves 9-0 as the Lady Pirates tallied more than 30 shots. Carri Sturm led the scoring attack with four goals and an assist. Jayln Morgna had two goals and an assist with Jordan Caprino, Rylee Brumbaugh and Veronica Sosa each tallying a goal and an assist. Emily Spence also contributed an assist for the 1-1 Lady Pirates.

The Brunswick boys had a tighter game but Beat Groves 2-0.

March Grovner set up Gage Appleton for one goal while Fernando Sanchez scored the Pirates’ other goal. Goalkeepers Zane Rosenbaum and Jack Breslin earned the shutout.

The Pirates move to 2-0 on the season.

Both Brunswick High teams are in action Friday at Wayne County.
