The Frederica Academy girls team lost in their consolation game of the Region 2-3A tournament on Friday, but coach Sarah Helder said that may turn out to be a blessing.

Frederica lost to Bulloch Academy 56-33 as the Knights played without Jadyn Scott, who along with her twin sister Jada has been the scoring engine for Frederica. Jada had 10 points in the loss while Kaitlyn Todd led the Knights with 11 points.

Helder didn’t lament the loss because she said it could give Frederica a better draw for the GISA Class 3A state tournament. Without Jadyn playing, Helder also said that the team got a chance to play a lot of players, which will be beneficial in adding depth to the Knights going forward.
