Frederica Academy’s Trey Thompson was one of four Knights to earn spots on the GISA Class 3A All-State team.

With all the success the Frederica Academy soccer and baseball squads achieved this spring, it’s no surprise to see the school well-represented on the GISA Class 3A All-State and Region 2-3A All-Region teams.

The Frederica baseball team, which was the Class 3A state runner-up and the Region 2-3A champs, had four members named to the All-State team.

Seniors Nic Dixon, Deke Jernigan, Eric McCall and Trey Thompson earned spots on both the All-State team and the Region 2-3A All-Region team. Chandler Kicklighter, Cameron Gardner and Henry Jamieson were also chosen for the All-Region team.

The Frederica Academy boys and girls soccer teams also earned plenty of accolades for their deep run through the playoffs.

The Knights had four players named to the All-State with John Mitchell Brock, Colton Myers, Jacob Myers and Ryan Steilen being picked.

The quartet was also named to the All-Region team, along with Joe Levitan, Shawn McElroy, George Poulakis and Matthew Runyan.

The Knights, who were the Region 2-3A champs, lost in the state title game to Westminster School out of Augusta.

The Lady Knights also won their region title, which was reflected with five players chosen for the All-Region team. Piper O’Quinn, Belle Slapikas, Curran Squire, Bella Swinson and Mary Helen Veal were chosen for the team with O’Quinn, Slapikas and Swinson earning All-State honors as well.

The Frederica girls reached the state semifinals before getting eliminated by eventual state champion Deerfield-Windsor.
