I voted for Trump for President in 2016. He was not my first choice, I preferred Ben Carson — the physician, the intellect, the husband, the family man, and man of faith.
Now I am called by the left a “hater.” Well if that be the case then let me apologize for all the things I love, like and things that make me smile — my faith; my country; my wife; my daughters and grandson; my extended family; my two dogs; my two cats; the Green Bay Packers; the Boston Red Sox; all my teammates that I ever played sports with; the United States Marine Corps; Marines under my command and life-long friendships with those I served; the USA; being an American; the Constitution; freedom; opportunity; the National Anthem; baseball and Hammer’n Hank; international work and travel over 20 years with top notch folks; a Marriott bed; a cold beer after a day of yard work; visiting Paris with my wife; taking my wife and daughters on a three-week jaunt through Portugal; my four daughters and grandson; St. Simons and the Golden Isles; warm late October sun and breezes; long walks/bike rides; shrimp; oysters; grilled ribeye; a cabernet; salmon; grouper; kielbasa; beer; low-country boil; Sandcastle breakfast buffet; Southern Soul; Delaney’s; Georgia Sea Grill; Crabdaddy’s.
No folks this doesn’t sound like the M.O. of a hater, rather a husband, father, grandfather, friend and co-worker who would tell ya “Variety is the spice of life so enjoy and enjoy with others, life’s too short.”
