Can anyone explain to me an issue I see with SPLOST? When we get to vote for SPLOST, if it passed, we are stuck with it for six years! If it fails, it can come up for vote the following year and every year thereafter.

Seems like logic would dictate that, if it passes, it would be in effect for one year and then it would come up for vote again every year! This to me would make more sense. I will continue to vote against SPLOST, unless it was only good for one year!
