At some point, we as functioning members of an otherwise well-developed society must take responsibility for the political conduct of our country. It is imperative that we see the central problem: The power structure rewards party goals — not national priorities.

The Republican and Democratic parties have moved past any hope of service and are defined by an ever-spiraling list of extreme views that can be converted to invective soundbites for easy consumption by what they perceive to be dolts (you and I).

They are untarnished by conduct that brings us all shame. They are unblemished by the open contempt they hold for their original charter and those that they presumably serve. If there ever was a time America, it is now. Stand up, let those sycophantic narcissist, drunk on power know: This is our country.

Fire gutted a vacant house shortly before 11 a.m. Friday, leaving fire crews working hard through noon to extinguish the flames and make sure they did not spread to nearby trees or the neighboring business.

This past week, I received a telephonic Robo Call from someone stating he represented the Glynn County Republican Party. There surely must be a parallel universe with a similar name since that call was nothing but false accusations and lies about ESPLOST 3.
