Three candidates are running in the Republican primary for the county commission At-Large Post 1 seat presently held by Mark Stambaugh. Those candidates are Jane Fraser, David O’Quinn and Stambaugh. At a candidate’s forum hosted by the Brunswick Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce and the Golden Isles Association of Realtors on May 10, the candidates were asked how many Island Planning Commission meetings they had attended. Stambaugh and O’Quinn admitted they had attended none of these meetings, which are frequently vital to the well-being of a significant portion of the county. Fraser answered that she always attends the meetings. Based on the answers to this one question alone, Stambaugh and O’Quinn should withdraw from the race in favor of someone who cares more about issues affecting the County than they do.

Jane Fraser is actively involved in and truly cares about the issues that affect Glynn County. She has worked hard as a private citizen and nonprofit executive to make Glynn County a better place to live. Now she is seeking a public office where her time and energy have an even greater possibility of creating positive outcomes for all of the citizens of Glynn.

Fire gutted a vacant house shortly before 11 a.m. Friday, leaving fire crews working hard through noon to extinguish the flames and make sure they did not spread to nearby trees or the neighboring business.

This past week, I received a telephonic Robo Call from someone stating he represented the Glynn County Republican Party. There surely must be a parallel universe with a similar name since that call was nothing but false accusations and lies about ESPLOST 3.
