In loving memory of Lenny Calvin Evans

Lenny Calvin Evans was born March 4, 1948, in Brunswick, Ga. He passed away quietly Sept. 12, 2018, at his home in Carson, Calif., due to complications of exposure to Agent Orange while serving in the United States Navy, stationed in Vietnam.

Lenny was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Leon and Florence Jones of Brunswick; his mother, Aileen Evans of Brunswick; his father, James “Sam” Evans of Hollywood, S.C.; and his brother, Bruce Evans of Brunswick.

Lenny is survived by his two sons, James and Michael, of California; his daughter-in-law, Teria; grandson, Joshua; his brother; Jon, of South Carolina; and his sister, Eve, of Florida.

Lenny leaves a large loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, held long enough to be counted as family.

His remains will be released to the sea that he so loved.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Amyloidosis Foundation, 7151 North Main St., Suite 2, Clarkson, MI 48346.

Cremation Society of the South Bay was in charge of the arrangements.
