Katherine Anne Oswald

Katherine Anne Oswald, 88, of St. Simons Island, Ga., passed away on Nov. 29, 2018, at her home after a lengthy illness.

Anne is survived by her children, Robert V. Oswald (Amanda) and Thomas N. Oswald; her daughter-in-law, Melissa A. Oswald; her grandchildren, Ashley O. Davis, John E. Oswald Jr. (Jessica), Katherine R. Oswald, Margaret A. Proctor (Brad), Laura Kate Mathews (Brooks), and Louis A. Oswald; her great grandchildren, Taylor Davis, Caden Jernigan, John Proctor, Ford Proctor, and Rhett Mathews. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Walter E. Oswald Jr., and her son, John E. Oswald.

Anne was born in Baltimore, Md., and after several moves, she and her family settled in Macon, Ga., their home for over forty years. Anne enjoyed playing tennis, landscape painting and was an accomplished duplicate bridge player. She shared her love for the game by teaching to all that were interested.

She was the director of Osan Petroleum and general partner of OFI Investments. Anne was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Macon, Ga. She was gracious, generous, kind, faithful and loved by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Macon, Ga., on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at noon. A reception will be held after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Packard Center for ALS Research at John Hopkins, P.O. Box 17045, Baltimore, MD 21297-0307.
