Jimmie Lou Manor, 88, of Brunswick, Ga., entered peacefully into Heaven’s Gates on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018.

Mrs. Jimmie was born Dec. 25, 1929, in Lumber City, Ga., the daughter of the late Floyd Arnold Brewer and the late Mary Ella Hardwick Brewer.

She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 63 years, Terrell J. Manor; two sons, James Edward Manor and Terrell Andrew Manor; a granddaughter, Anitrea Leigh Manor; two sisters, Sammie Johnson and Alice Steverson; three brothers, Floyd Brewer Jr., Joe Brewer and Bob Brewer; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Manor.

Mrs. Jimmie was a graduate of Glynn Academy. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a retired cashier with A&P Grocery, and later worked part-time cleaning at FLETC in Brunswick, Ga. Mrs. Jimmie was also a member of Glyndale Baptist Church, and was active with the Cheerful Workers Sunday School Class.

Left to cherish Jimmie’ s memories are her two grandchildren, Kim Worley of Brunswick, Ga., and Andrew Manor of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Dale Brewer and Austine Coxwell; and a close friend, Ann Bacon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Jimmie enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She loved to praise her Lord and Savior. She also enjoyed the Christian fellowship at Gyndale Baptist Church. Her hobbies were crocheting, arts and crafts. Mrs. Jimmie will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.

The family will receive friends between 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Glyndale Baptist Church, in Brunswick, Ga. A funeral service, to honor Mrs. Jimmie’s life, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Glyndale Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bayview Nursing and Rehab for their compassionate, caring and professional care given to Mrs. Jimmie.
