James Martin Jr., 78, of Brunswick, Ga., and formerly of Thomasville, Ga., passed away peacefully Tuesday at his residence.

James was born in Newton, Ga., the son of the late Alford James and Linnie Mae Martin Sr. He was a retired supervisor with Southern Manor. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nina L. Martin; five brothers; two half-brothers; two half-sisters; and grandchild, Tyler Barlow.

Survivors include his daughters, Darlene Barlow (Bill), Sandra Warren (Donnie) and Katrina Hatcher (Tommy); his son, Eugene Lewis; his sister, Essie Mae Kindschy; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at Forest Acres Full Gospel Church with the Rev. Darrell Owens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Acres Full Gospel Church, 2449 Cassidy Road, Thomasville, GA 31792.
