James Campbell Jr., “Junior,” of Crescent, died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at New Home Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Churchill Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Eula M. Campbell; children, Gwendolyn (Alphonse) Pulley, Janice Adams, Connie (Clyde) Madrey, Milton (Sharon) Campbell and Sherrie Weldon Edwards; sibling, Alberta McIntosh; aunt, Louise Rasheed; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Born and educated in McIntosh County, he was a member of New Home Baptist Church, a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired.
