Harrison Broadwell Raines, 35, died Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the University of North Carolina Medical Center.

Harrison was born Dec. 30, 1982, on St. Simons Island to Bruce and Christena Raines.

Having traveled extensively throughout the country, he most recently resided in Asheville and Chapel Hill, N.C.

Harrison will be fondly remembered for his love of music, travel, family, friends and animals.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Justin, Mountain Rest, S.C.; sister, Stephanie, Carrboro, N.C.; and grandfather, William Eugene Broadwell, Brunswick, Ga.

A celebration of Harrison’s life will be held at a date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to a pet rescue facility of choice.
