George Edward Eshliman, 81, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mr. Eshliman was born Oct. 12, 1937, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late John Eshliman and the late Julia Bacewicz Eshliman. He grew up in Steger, Ill., moving from Daytona Beach , Fla., to Darien before finding a home with his wife, Lalla, in Darien, Ga., 11 years ago. Mr. Eshliman became very active in the local community in Darien mentoring in the schools, providing leadership in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, and participating in Live Oak Lodge No. 137 and the Rotary Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lalla Niblack Eshliman of Darien, Ga.; his children, Vicki Lynn Ashlin of York, Pa., and her children, Christian, Emma, Grace and Lauryn; Kyle Anthony Eshliman and wife, Wendy, of Las Vegas, Nev., and their daughter Kylie; Chris Lee Eshliman and wife, Lisa, of Orlando, Fla., and their children, Brianna and Chloe; stepdaughters, Robin Harris Dary and husband, Scott, of Eden Prairie, Minn., and their child Erin; and Nancy Harris Rayhon and husband, Bobby, of Darien, Ga., and their children, Jonathan William Molihan, Justin Maulden, Brooke Maulden, Ashlin Rayhon, Triston Rayhon and Lauren Rayhon.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Eshliman will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, in Darien, Ga., with Father Bill Barton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorials be made to the McIntosh County Animal Shelter 1184 Animal Shelter Drive, SW, Darien, GA 31305.
