Elaine Goodyear, 70, of Waynesville, Ga., entered the gates of heaven on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer.
Elaine was born April 12, 1947, in Adrian, Ga., the daughter of the late Randolph and Gladys Meeks. She was a caregiver to her husband. She loved her family very much.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Floyd Goodyear; a son, Chad Goodyear (Jodie), twin daughters, Audrey Callaway (Paul) and Vicky Goodyear; three grandchildren, Trevor, Blake and Callen; a brother, Randall Meeks; and sister, Sandy Proctor.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Golden Isles Church of God, with the Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Chad Goodyear, Trevor Callaway, Blake Callaway, Gerry Herndon, Bill Burgstiner, Ben Rainey, Ad Poppell and Teddy Elrod.
Elaine leaves her family and friends with a loving legacy — her devotion to the Lord, her ethics, her morals, frugality and devotion to family and friends.
