Charles Lester “Bill” Cooper, 87, of St. Simons Island, and formerly of Albany, died Thursday at Hospice of the Golden Isles, in Brunswick.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home, in Albany, with the Rev. Tommy Lowery officiating.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be the elders of the Westover Community Church, in Albany.
