Anna Ferra Hardwick, 63, of Brunswick, passed away Monday at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Father Tim McKeown officiating. Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery, with George Ferra Jr., Joseph Ferra, Frank J. Ferra, Shane Branch, Justin Jones, James Ferra, Michael Ferra, Paul Ferra Jr. and Daniel Holton serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ahmed Elsharkawi, Golden Isles Dialysis, CCU of SGHS and Dr. James Heery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Thursday with the Rosary being recited at 7 p.m.

Anna was born Feb. 9, 1955, in Brunswick, to Frank and Serafina Machado Ferra. She was a 1973 graduate of Glynn Academy, a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and had worked for 22 years at Southeast Georgia Health System, followed by 18 years with Miracle Ear, and was an avid Elvis fan.

Anna is survived by her husband of 26 years, Donnie Hardwick; a daughter, Ashley Hardwick; grandson, Aiden Hardwick; brothers, Frank Ferra Jr. (Angie), George Ferra Sr. (Roni) and Paul Ferra Sr. (Frankie), all of Brunswick; sisters-in-law, Wanda Johnson (Delmer) of Rockwell, N.C., and Jan Holton (Ed), of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Sr. and Serafina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Capital Campaign at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
