Glynn County police are looking for three women who have allegedly been seen in Waycross using stolen credit cards, which were taken April 6 when a motel owner suffered a gunshot wound during a robbery outside of the Stay Express Inn and Suites motel, 5323 U.S. Highway 341 near Interstate 95.

Police released photos of the three women, who were captured on several businesses’ security videos in the Waycross area, allegedly using the victim’s stolen credit cards. Police also released a photo of the SUV in which they were traveling, which might be a Ford Flex, a full-size crossover SUV.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the hand during the robbery, which occurred while he was walking the grounds of the motel he owns at around 11:45 p.m., police said.

According to police, a heavyset man armed with a handgun stepped out of an SUV on the north side of the building and robbed the victim of his wallet, shooting him in the process.

Another man and possibly a woman also were inside the SUV at the time of the robbery, police said.

The motel owner was taken by ambulance to Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick hospital, where he was then transferred in stable condition to UF Health Shands hospital in Jacksonville, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the women pictured, or the SUV, is asked to call county police Investigator Brad Butler at 912-554-7802, or the Silent Witness hotline at 912-264-1333.
