One of the Golden Isles' largest private employers is hiring and will host a job fair this week. 

Sea Island Co. will host a career day from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and attendees are invited to part at The Inn at Sea Island, 100 Salt Marsh Drive, St. Simons Island. Shuttle service be provided from The Inn to The Cloister on Sea Island. 

About 200 jobs are available, according to a news release from Sea Island Co. Many of the positions are full time and offer competitive pay with advancement opportunities, the company stated.

"... Many of our current leadership started in foot-in-the-door type jobs," said Rebecca Neal, Sea Island Co.'s human resources director, in a statement. Neal started working in Sea Island's banquet department and has since moved into several roles before being promoted to her current position. 

The fair will also provided resume writing workshops, interview coaching and soft skills development training. 

Sea Island is Georgia's only Forbes Five Star Resort and was founded in 1928. It employs more than 1,700 people year-round, and grows that number by as many as 350 employees during peak seasonal periods. Sea Island has hosted events including the G-8 Summit of world leaders and the annual RSM Classic PGA tournament.
