A federal judge has refused to dismiss legal claims against two companies accused of violating the Clean Water Act for failing to comply with the terms of a permit to develop on St. Simons Island.

In her ruling on July 1, U.S. District Court Judge Lisa Godbey Wood said the defendants — TowneClub Construction LLC and Mortgage of America Lenders — must answer to the legal complaint.
