Man shows up at Brunswick hospital with gunshot wounds

A man arrived at Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick hospital emergency room shortly after midnight Monday morning and was flown by helicopter to UF Health Hospital in Jacksonville, according to a Glynn County Police report.

The man remained at UF Health late Monday afternoon, said Brian Scott, Chief of Staff for the Glynn County Police Department. His condition is not known, Scott said.

He was driven to the Brunswick hospital at around 12:30 am., accompanied by several other people, the report said. Police interviewed many of those who arrived with him, but are still seeking the person who drove the vehicle that delivered the wounded man, the report said.

Further information on this shooting incident will be forthcoming as the investigation develops, Scott said.
