JWSC to cut off water to Belle Point Thursday for repairs

Water service to the Belle Point subdivision in Brunswick will be interrupted Thursday while the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission perform repairs.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday the utility will shut off the water to replace failing valves, take an aged main out of service, repair a fire hydrant and make other critical repairs to the system, according to a release from the JWSC.

Once service has been restored, a boil water advisory will be required, the release states.

For more information, call Water Distribution Crew Supervisor Alvin Hall at 912-261-7162 or Administration Director Jay Sellers at 912-261-7123.
