Coastal Georgia Community Action Authority will host a “Fashioned for Greatness” event this weekend to help job candidates best present themselves.

The event will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old City Hall, 1229 Newcastle St. in Brunswick.

“It’s a job readiness event,” said Brandi Fisher, development assistant for the Community Action Authority. “It’s a free event. We’ll have a stylist to show you what professional attire is. We’re going to have workshops on social media etiquette and clean-up.”

The event will include résumé reviews, mock interview opportunities, make-up and clothing tutorials, and barber and styling services.

Coastal Georgia Community Action Authority is hosting the event in partnership with Fashion Mr. Styles, a company run by stylist Jeramiah Roberts.

Zerik Samples, chief development officer for the Community Action Authority, will be the keynote speaker at the event.

Attendees can register online. Registration is free and will also be available on site.

“Fashioned 4 Greatness is a community event where all the tools needed for your next level is made available free of charge,” according to the event posting. “Come get styled by Fashion Mr. and other stylist in professional attire, shoes and accessories.”
