Dinner to benefit Brunswick nonprofit

Bennie’s Red Barn, 5514 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, is pitching in this weekend to benefit Rebuilding Together Glynn by selling rib and chicken dinners on Saturday.

The dinners, or lunches depending on when they are eaten, are $12 for the rib dish and $10 for the chicken dish. Proceeds are going to Rebuilding Together of Glynn County, a nonprofit operated by Glynn County Commissioner Allen Booker that helps low- and fixed-income residents repair their aging homes. The nonprofit also serves the elderly, veterans and the disabled.

Dinners can be picked up starting at 11 a.m. at the Rebuilding Together offices at the renovated old fire station at 2129 Albany Street in Brunswick.

Anyone wishing to buy a ticket for a meal should contact Dorris Carter at either 912-226-6160 or at 912-342-3671.
