Wood Avenue on St. Simons Island will be closed from today until Oct. 1 while Glynn County works on stormwater drainage around the old Coast Guard station parking area.

The section of the road between Glover Marsh Lane and First Street is closed starting today. Drivers should use Glover Marsh Lane and First Street to get around the closure, according to a news release from Glynn County.
