Parts of Altama

Avenue, Perry Lane Road to be resurfaced Glynn County is encouraging drivers to avoid sections of Altama Avenue and Perry Lane Road next week while the two roads are resurfaced.

Work on Altama Avenue from Fourth Street to Brunswick’s city limits and on Perry Lane Road from the Ga. Spur 25 to Cate Road will begin Monday, according to a press release from Glynn County.

Crews will work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both roads daily until the work is finished, according to the release. Flagmen will wave traffic through the work area, but drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to avoid both areas entirely until they’re finished.

Both resurfacing projects are funded by the Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant — Perry Lane Road out of the 2017 grant and Altama Avenue out of the 2018 grant.
