SGHS offers free yoga

for cancer patients

Southeast Georgia Health System offers free gentle yoga classes for those in cancer treatment or recovery as well their caregivers. Led by local yoga instructors who trained with the Christina Phipps Foundation, the classes take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Kemble Conference Room, 3011 Kemble Avenue, Brunswick. Fitness studio relocates

Health system opens new palliative care center

The Southeast Georgia Health System, in conjunction with the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce, recently hosted a ribbon cutting and open house for its new Palliative Care Center office. The Palliative Care Center is located on the Health System’s Brunswick Campus in the Outpatient Care Center, 2500 Starling St., Suite 305. For more information, call 912-466-5190.

The Southeast Georgia Health System Palliative Care Center provides inpatient and outpatient palliative care in partnership with Golden Isles Palliative Care. These programs coordinate with the patient’s attending physician to provide patients and families with extra support and the opportunity to discuss and establish the goals of care.
