Recently, Teddy Weaver, a Cub Scout with Pack 227 on St. Simons Island, was awarded the Boy Scouts of America’s National Court of Honor Lifesaving and Meritorious Action Honor Medal. This award is bestowed on an adult or youth member for saving someone’s life at considerable risk to himself. Teddy received the Honor Medal for risking his own life to rescue a young man who was drowning in a pool.
