Recently, C.B. Greer Elementary received a check for $1,017.73 from the Parker Companies as part of its Pump Perks program. The monies will benefit its PTA and their effort to update the school’s playground. Parker’s pools one penny from every gallon of gas sold on the first Wednesday of each month from sales at 11 different Parker’s locations in southeast Georgia. That money is, then, rewarded to local schools, enabling them to pay for unexpected expenses that may arise during the school year.
