Ben Slade, interim executive director of the St. Simons Land Trust recently spoke to Rotary of the Golden Isles.

Slade was the founding chairman of the St. Simons Land Trust when it was formed back in the late 1990s. The Land Trust is one of only 28 accredited land trusts in the country.

The mission of the Land Trust is to preserve the island’s natural and scenic character and to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
