The Upward Mobility in the Golden Isles Program was held recently. The forum began with a presentation of the documentary film, “Middlelayers.”

During the panel discussion, Travis Stegall, Donna Leggett and Tres Hamilton discussed barriers to upward mobility in Brunswick and strategies to promote youth and workforce development. They also spoke about the value of mentoring as a tool for youth development and upward mobility promotion. Mentoring is important form of social support that gives children one-on-one time with caring adults who can teach them the hard and soft skills they need in life.
