Members of the American Legion No. 9 helped honor local veterans at many events recently. First, it participated in the Sons of the American Revolution-Marshes of Glynn Chapter awards program. It joined the Veteran’s Council of the Golden Isles to help present Zack Hasbrouck the Veteran of the Year award.

Members also visited Magnolia Manor on St. Simons Island to honor World War II and Korean veterans there. Other members of the Post also attended. The Post 9 Color Guard was later invited back to Magnolia Manor Nursing Home to honor and pin several veterans there.
