Alpha Delta Kappa is an international honorary organization of women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism and world understanding.
Every October, in recognition of the sorority’s founding month, the members conduct an annual service project.
This year, the sorority purchased and donated 100 brand new books to the Southeast Georgia Health System Miriam & Hugh Nunnally Maternity Care Center. Every baby born during the month of October received a new book. In addition, each family will be entered into a chance to win a basket full of new books.
The drawing will be held at the end of the month. Pictured are Melanie Spivey, secretary, Alpha Delta Kappa, from left; Kim S. Buckley, RN, BSN, manager, Patient Care Services; Krista Robitz, director, Development, Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation; Martha King, co-president, Alpha Delta Kappa; and Ann Maxwell, co-president, Alpha Delta Kappa.
