Elm Grove Baptist Church in Meridian will host the Daughters of Esther Annaul Women’s Conference at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The speaker will be the Rev. Sheila Noble from the Blood of Judah Ministry. At 7 p.m. Thursday the conference will continue with the Rev. Patricia Thorpe and Tanisha Lewis. At 10 a.m. Sept. 15 the speaker will be the Rev. Kimberly Hunt from Christ Followers Church in Jacksonville.

FaithWorks will host its annual Celebration of Service event beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Gruber Aviation on St. Simons Island. Music will be provided by Owen Plant, food by Halyards catering and silent auction art from Cathie Parmalee. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.

Fete for Haiti, a fundraiser sponsored by Helping Hugs for Haiti, will host an event at 6 p.m. Nov. 9 at Bennie’s Red Barn on St. Simons Island. Tickets are $60 and include dinner and a beverage. First United Christian Church, 21 10th St., Brunswick, will host its Family and Friends’ Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Bishop Herbert McRoy of the Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church of Hazelhurst.

First Friendship Baptist Church, 1010 Lee St., Brunswick, will celebrate the third pastoral anniversary the Rev. Steven A. Wise at 7 p.m. Thursday with Bishop Trey Wright and Zion Community Church in Jacksonville. It will continue at 11 a.m., Sept. 16 with Bruce Goodson and the Rev. Frederick D. Newbill and First Timothy Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville at 4 p.m. Sept. 16.

Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, 800 L. St., Brunswick, will celebrate its pastor’s anniversary at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Services will continue at 7:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday. The final service will be at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 16.

Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 2279 Hwy 99, Bolden, will celebrate its Friends and Family Day at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 16. The speaker will be the Rev. Michael Jones. This is a dress down occasion with a picnic to follow.

Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 1926 Stonewall St., Brunswick, will host a banquet honoring the Rev. L. Carl Brown Jr.’s 20th anniversary. It will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at Embassy Suites Hotel, Brunswick. The cost is $30 per person. The celebration will culminate at 11 a.m. Oct. 7. The Rev. Robert Marshall of Chicago will deliver the message.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 1323 Emanuel Church Road, Brunswick, will celebrate its 132nd church anniversary at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 with Bishop T.L. Benton of First United Christian Church. It will continue at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 with the Rev. J.A. Williams of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. The final service will be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 16 with the Rev. Zarack Hazbrack of Salem Baptist Church.

Pine Ridge Baptist Church, 15 Nimitz Dr., Brunswick, begins Revival at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16 and 6 p.m. Sept. 17. It will continue at 6:30 p.m. nightly through Sept. 19. St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 1120 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, hosts its nondenominational crafters guild from 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays in the St. Joseph Room in the church parish hall. No fees. Everyone is welcome. All types of crafts and ideas are shared. The guild provides hats for preemies and cancer patients, along with leg warmers and lap rugs for nursing homes. Zion Baptist Church, 1611 G St., Brunswick, will host Albert “Funnybone” Harris, a Christian comedian at a dinner theater beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at College Place United Methodist Church Multi-purpose room, 3890 Altama Ave., Brunswick.
