Coastal Georgia Audubon Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. in the Susan Shipman Building at the Georgia DNR complex, located at the northeast foot of the Sidney Lanier Bridge, Brunswick. An Overview of Coastal Georgia History, a six-week course with historian Buddy Sullivan will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 15 to Feb. 19 at the A.W. The St. Simons Island Land Trust will host its annual Oyster Roast from 5 to 8 p.m. at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island. Food and drinks from more than 100 local restaurants and vendors will be served. Entertainment will be provided by Jamie Renee and the Walkers. The non-member ticket price is $85 per person. The member price is $60. There is a special new member price of $50 for those who join at the $100 level or higher by Dec. 15.
