The Literary Guild of Saint Simons Island book store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Casino Atrium.

The GFWC Brunswick Woman’s Club will begin its regular meetings after summer break at 12:30 p.m. at the Golden Coral in Brunswick. The Sons of the American Revolution, Marshes of Glynn Chapter, will host Peter Dillon who will present a program titled, “Christophe Anne Poulain DuBignon: His Role in the American Revolution and British Revenge.” It will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at Glynn County Fire Station 2, 1929 Demere Road, St. Simons Island. It is free and open to the public.

Glynn Visual Arts will host an opening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the gallery, 106 Island Dr., St. Simons Island. The new exhibit, titled Wax Poetic, will showcase encaustic works by Motte Thomas. The exhibit will be up through October.

The Eugenia Price/Joyce Blackburn Foundation in association with Golden Isles Arts & Humanities is gearing up for the 20th Annual Young Playwright’s Award.
