The Brunswick Bash, hosted by Emerald Owl Productions and the Brunswick DDA, will be held at 6 p.m. at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in downtown Brunswick. There will be a laser light show and a glow foam party. A variety of food and beverages will be served. Activities for all ages will continue until 10:30 p.m. with an adult party from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Mary Ross Waterfront Park.

The Summer Classic Film Festival will kick off with a talk about “The Year of the Movie” followed by a screening of “Destry Rides Again” at the Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick. The Literary Guild of Saint Simons Island book store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Casino Atrium.

The Historical Harrington School Cultural Center, 291 Harrington Road, St. Simons Island, will host a Salt Water Jubilee fish fry from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center. It is family friendly and open to all.

A reception featuring the artwork of Catherine Hillis will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at A Moveable Feast, 1178 Chapel Crossing Road, Brunswick. Paintings by the artist will include portraits and landscapes from across America. Scenes include New York City, Virginia, Washington, D.C., florals, patriotic portraits and local landscapes. The Brunswick Glynn County Council on Disabilities will hold its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. on the second floor of Old City Hall, 1229 Newcastle St., Brunswick. Meetings are open to the public and address issues of interest to people with disabilities, their families, and disability related service and support providers.
