The Golden Isles Fiberarts guild will hold its monthly meeting at 3 p.m. in the Parish Hall of the Holy Nativity Church, 615 Mallery St., St. Simons Island. The program will feature the Garment Girlz group, presenting a variety of their newest fashions. The St. Simons Island Library will host a toddlers’ story time at 10:30 a.m. at the library, 530A Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island.

Lunchtime yoga will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Howard Coffin Park, 1402 Sonny Miller Way, Brunswick. No sweating is required. Participants should bring a mat and water. It is sponsored by the Brunswick-Glynn County Library. It is free.

A pop-up library will be held on the green from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Beach Village on Jekyll Island. No library card is needed and a variety of books will be available.

The Belladonna Book Club: Featuring Books of Mystery will meet at 6 p.m. at the St. Simons Island Public Library, 530A Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island. The book to be discussed is “Too Lucky to Live” by Annie Hogsett. Contact the library for future titles at 912-279-3750.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

The Literary Guild of St. Simons Island will present “War of Buttons,” a French film, as part of its film series. It will be screened at 7 p.m. at the Casino Theater on St. Simons Island. It is rated PG-13. A $3 donation is requested.

The St. Simons Island Literary Guild’s book store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is located at the Casino on St. Simons Island.

The GFWC Brunswick Woman’s Club will hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 12:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral in Brunswick. The program will feature a speaker from The Big Flea Quality Resale Store, a store benefiting the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia. Golden Arts and Humanities will host Cinema Gourmet, featuring “To Kill a Mockingbird,” at 6:30 p.m. at the Ritz. Indigo Coastal Shanty will provide food and Heather Heath will offer a talk on the movie. Tickets are $18 for the meal and $7 for the movie alone. Ticket reservations must be made by Monday. Glynn Visual Arts, 106 Island Drive, St. Simons Island, will hold an opening for its newest exhibit featuring the works of photographer, Paula Eubanks and Sculptor, Syd Summerhill. The opening reception and artists’ talk will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the art center. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 16.

The speaker will be Senator Josh McKoon, executive director of the Faith and Freedom Coalition of Georgia. The cost is $10 per person. It will also serve as a membership drive.
