Taste of the Golden Isles, benefitting Hospice of the Golden Isles, will offer food, spirits, and wines from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Casino on St. Simons Island. It is part of the RSM Classic. Tickets are $70 per person and may be purchased at www.rsmclassic.com.

The St. Simons Island Literary Guild’s book store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Casino on St. Simons Island.

The Cassina Garden Club will open its historic tabby cabins from 10 a.m. at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island. There is a suggested $3 donation per adult. For more information, call 912-580-9657.

The Brunswick Actors Theatre will hold auditions for its season opener “Showstoppers” from 10 a.m. to noon at 1413 Newcastle St., Brunswick. The Lower Altamaha Historical Society and Ashantilly Center are sponsoring a free lecture by Buddy Sullivan at 3 p.m. at Ashantilly Center, Darien. His presentation will be based on a new book “Environmental Influences On Life & Labor in McIntosh County, Georgia: Case Studies in Ecology as History With a Personal Memoir of the Tidewater.” Light refreshments will follow.
