S.C. man found dead in flaming vehicle

A 39-year-old South Carolina man’s body was discovered inside a 1994 Cadillac Deville that was found engulfed in flames in the 5400 block of U.S. Highway 17 during the pre-dawn hours Monday morning, according to Glynn County Police.

The body was identified as that of Matthew Lee Johnson of Anderson, S.C., police said.

Police received a 911 call at 2:13 a.m. and arrived to find the Cadillac in flames in the northbound lane of U.S. 17. After Glynn County Firefighters arrived and extinguished the flames, Johnson’s body was discovered inside.
