A man died Wednesday when his vehicle rolled over near at the intersection of U.S. Highway 17 and the Downing Musgrove Causeway, according to emergency radio communications and the Glynn County Coroner.

A police officer reported to dispatchers at around 5:30 p.m. via emergency radio communications that a vehicle had overturned near the intersection and that a man was in the road with possible head injuries. He called for an ambulance and requested it come quickly.

Authorities later called the crash a “possible 10-50f,” emergency communications code for a crash with a fatality.

Glynn County Coroner Marc Neu confirmed the fatality at around 6:15 p.m., but was working to identify the victim.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

No further information was immediately available Wednesday evening at press time.
