Chris Hobby and Maci Gilleon

Lesa Winn of Bristol and David Gilleon of Darien announce the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Maci Elizabeth Gilleon, to Chris Leon Hobby, son of Terry and MaryAnn Hobby of Brunswick; and Kimberly and Tony Hobby of Brunswick.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Naomi and Olan Winn. She is a 2009 graduate of Pierce County High School. She attended Waycross College in Waycross and Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah.

She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2014. Ms. Gilleon is employed by Emergency Resources Group in Brunswick and EmCare in Waycross.

The future groom is the grandson of John and Charlene Franklin of Brunswick. He is a 2007 graduate of Brunswick High School and Altamaha Technical College in 2012. He is currently attending the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick. Mr. Hobby is employed by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick.

An evening wedding is planned for Nov. 17 at The Greenhouse on St. Simons Island, a reception will follow. Invitations will be sent.
