College of Coastal Georgia’s women’s golf team had an up-and-down day at the first round of the Thomas University Invitational on Monday.

The Mariners posted a team score of 336 with Kylee Wheeler’s 78 leading the way. Megan Ramer was four shots behind Wheeler with an 82, while Molly Antor carded an 83. Megan Collins’ 93 rounded out Coastal’s scoring.

The Mariners are in seventh place as a team at 48 over par. They trail the leader University of Cumberlands’ six over par by 42 strokes. The tournament concludes today at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta.
