Frederica Academy’s football season started off with a tough result playing at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala.

The Knights lost to Parklane Academy out of Mississippi 49-36 on Friday in an event that features independent school league teams from across the South.

The Knights trailed 14-7 after the first quarter, with the deficit staying at seven by halftime with Parklane ahead 21-14.

Parklane would add to its lead in the third quarter. Frederica trailed by 19 entering the final quarter and rallied to score, but the Knights couldn’t put together enough points for the comeback.
