Glynn County Animal Control and Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia have once again shown what dedicated and good hearted people working together for a common goal can accomplish.

Evacuating shelter animals is a complex and fraught task, requiring planning, commitment, teamwork and a lot of hard work. All of these requirements were met and exceeded by the staff and administrators of GCAC and HSSCG. The drivers from McKamey Animal Shelter in Chattanooga and the many local volunteers made this monumental task achievable and every one of these animal lovers deserve recognition and praise for their efforts on behalf of the homeless animals of Glynn County.

Too often the efforts of shelter staff are overlooked or unappreciated. Now, following a massive storm and messy aftermath would be a good time to visit and express appreciation to the two shelters we are fortunate to have in Glynn County. Look into volunteering, ask for a wish list or just visit the animals.

The puppies are cute, the kittens are sweet and the staff at both shelters are amazing.

Thank you Glynn County Animal Control and Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia staff and thank you to McKamey Animal Center (Chattanooga) for your help.
