FEMA hiring locals for temporary work

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is hiring Georgia residents for temporary positions related to disaster recovery following Hurricane Irma.

The positions being advertised are environmental specialist, historic preservation specialist, administrative/finance specialist, public assistance specialist, public assistance site inspectors, public assistance administrative assistant. Additional positions may be added according to a FEMA news release.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens 18 years old or older, and must have a valid government ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID or military ID. Selected candidates will be subject to a complete background investigation, the release said.
