Among reports filed with police:

Arrests

5340 U.S. Highway 341: While servicing the landscape at a business, a landscaper came across a man hanging out inside the little building that enclosed the company’s air conditioning unit. The landscaper called police, who took the man to another enclosure — jail.

M and Norwich streets: A man on a bicycle committed a traffic offense. The bicyclist then tried to flee, but the patrol officer caught him. The officer backtracked the man’s getaway route and found a handgun he tossed during the short chase. Police took the man the jail, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

120 Commerce Park: Two drunk men got into an squabble behind an ophthalmology clinic, loud enough to create a distraction for everyone within earshot — and possibly eyesight. Police arrived, and an arrest for public intoxication ensued.

Strong-arm Robbery

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and K Street: A hooligan assaulted his ex-girlfriend and then robbed her, causing minor injuries in the process. He was gone when police arrived. However, police have issued a warrant for his arrest and are on the lookout for him.
