Department of Labor plans job fair

The Georgia Department of Labor will host a career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 2 at its Brunswick Career Center, 2517 Tara Lane, Brunswick.

Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

Foundation launches new branding

The Jekyll Island Foundation recently revealed the organization’s new branding, website and membership program in an attempt to make it easier for those interested to aid the group’s preservation efforts.

Along with the launch of the new website, the Jekyll Island Foundation has rolled out a membership program allowing supporters to join the Foundation with member benefits based on the level of support from $35 up to $5,000.

Clinic opens doors at new space

Reaching Milestones, an applied behavior analysis clinic, recently opened its doors at a new location in Camden County.

The previous Reaching Milestones clinic was located off Charlie Smith Sr. Hwy. in St. Marys. The new location is a much larger space, providing the opportunity to service more of the Camden County families and community.

Reaching Milestones has been providing services for more than a decade years in the Southeastern United States, covering nine locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and New York. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is important in the treatment of autism.

Spanish class planned for July 24

Coastal Pines Technical College is hosting a Spanish Level I Course for business people in the Golden Isles. It will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. July 24 at the school. The course costs $124 and will last until Aug. 28.

It will cover four areas: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Practice is an integral part of language learning, and students are not expected to have error-free participation.
